Welcome to my instrumental version of Faster by Within Temptation, one of my favourite symphonic metal tracks and my first to share here! (also the first song I have ever recorded so a double premier!) This was a challenge, arranging a guitar piece to capture the energy and wide range of themes included in the song, weaving together orchestration, vocal and guitar melodies into a compact yet expansive arrangement for acoustic guitar. Art work - 'The Nightmare' by Henry Fuseli, I choose this piece as the song lyric 'Fairy tale of lies' kept going round my head as I searched for imagery, and it has a suitably dark, gothic feel that compliments the tone of the piece.
