Want to start reading music but confused by all the stupid dots and lines? Don’t worry…I got you! Learning to read sheet music on the guitar really isn’t that hard. You need to take it one step at a time, starting with a game I call “Find the Dot.”
In this lesson I’m going to teach you ALL of the basics you need to know to break into reading traditional music on your instrument. You’ll learn terms like Clef, Measure, and Staff. You’ll learn to understand what note you’re looking at on the page AND how to find it on your instrument. We’ll learn the very basics of rhythmic notation and counting, and finish off with accidentals: sharps, flats, and naturals.
We’ll play 3 different exercises together and look at 3 different documents I created just for you. These 3 documents will take the mystery out of learning to read music, and are available to download for free below.
