In Lesson 1 of the "Brushes" Lab, We go through all of the basics of brush playing. I demonstrate using Lateral strokes and understanding the sustain of the brushes. Playing long tones on the drums with brushes is key to developing a better understanding of timekeeping and playing more melodically. I describe the "Commandments" of brush playing in this module and start you down the road to being a better musician on the drums. Even if you've never thought you needed to learn to play brushes, this module could change your approach to the instrument.
