New genre/style in the making? It's something I discovered while composing a new lo-fi beat. I drowned everything in radio static and mixed it with unintelligible chatter fading in and out. I then lowered the volume to barely audible levels. It reminded me of searching for a signal I could tune into—just the experience of doing it and hear these "in between" sounds. I never really knew what to expect, except that it sounded like a faint trace of humanity lost in a sea of noise, a bit like a fading memory.Credit where credit is due.
