Today I'm joined by engineer turned watch entrepreneur Marc Frankel of Long Island Watch for a brand new #WatchTalk episode where we discuss watches we wish would be rereleased. In this video we select a variety of watches from Tudor, Seiko, Casio, and Rolex that we'd like to see brought back from the brands' archives for a modern update, or succeeded with newer versions. In discussing our favorite picks, we unwittingly discover a little known patent pending for a perpetual calendar complication that reveals Rolex's next big move, further indicating the brand's future and higher end ambitions. We also delve into an underrated, rich legacy of aviation watches that is often overshadowed by Seiko's focus on Olympic timing, as well as a new direction for Tudor that could be the antidote to the oversaturation of the watch world with their Black Bay variations that have been released ad nauseum. In this video we also discuss a Casio diver that would completely change the entire watch industry, and could certainly be described as a license to print money. What do you think of the watches in this video? And what are your picks for watches you'd like to see rereleased in the near future? Please share in the comments.
