Hello internet, what's special about Barket the artist I'm featuring in episode 55 of 50 shades of FM is his creative grid work aka sequencing.
Because if you break down his FM leads, you'll realise how simple and effecient they are, and of course full of that Virus flavor we love.

It's a matter of FMing the saw wave of the second oscillator using the famous Pos-tri algorithm from the Virus.
The oscillators are hard synced together, their phase is locked to the value of 2, oscillator two is set a couple of octaves higher than the roote note and the FM oscillator which follows the pitch of oscillator one is set one octave lower than the roote note.

The sound will be filtered using a single 24db/oct highpass filter with a good amount of resonance meaning in the Virus terms, we will use filter 1 in serial 6 mode. And yo spice up the sound, a light saturation algorithm is more than welcome.

We will finish the patch with a plucky amp enveloppe meaning no sustain, some decay and a slight release.
Now all what's left to do is funky sequencing with manual filter modulation.
