After a long, rainy winter and spring, it finally feels like summer has arrived. As the rain recedes, wildflowers are starting to bloom around the fields, adding little bursts of color to the landscape. The dumpsite we cleaned up and sowed with seeds is coming to life with sunflower plants and a variety of other flowers. It's amazing to see the transformation and how nature is reclaiming the space.Our desk is in desperate need of decluttering, so Philippe is putting together a rack for better organization. With all this sunshine, we're busy maintaining the yard, weeding around the potatoes, and taking care of the recently planted tomatoes—all before the thunderstorms hit us.
After the yard work, Philippe attempts to pull out the old red McCormick tractor, which isn't proving easy. After a long effort, he's as disappointed as you must be seeing it fail. So, he drives the little digger back up the hill and cleans up some rubble around the old barn wall, leftover from the pointing he removed last year.
