An excerpt from Narodowe Forum Muzyki’s archive recorded during our live performance at the Wrocław Town Hall for the 2024 edition of the Forum Musicum Festival.
This song is contained in Murmur Mori's last album "Make love, not crusades" and it's the lament of a woman for the departure of her beloved to the Holy Land and we set it to music. The manuscript containing the chivalric romance "Partenopeus de Blois" from the Gonzaga library (now at the BnF - Bibliothèque nationale de France) preserves in the last pages ballate and lyrics of songs in Italian vernacular such as this one, where a woman, despairing because her beloved has undertaken the journey to Syria, warns other ladies that Love can make them suffer.
