Paiste Late 60s 18" Formula 602 Pre-Serial Flat Ride Seven Sound Set 4 (The Roy Haynes Cymbal) ULTRA RARE

The concept of a flat ride cymbal was developed by Paiste for Joe Morello and was sold starting in 1967 as part of Joe's Seven Sound Set. As such the Seven Sound Set 4 18" flat ride was the first flat ride cymbal ever produced and was popularized by legendary drummer Roy Haynes on Chick Corea's record "Now He Sings, Now He Sobs." This particular ride cymbal is from that early run of the Seven Sound Set and is considered the "Holy Grail" of flat rides. This cymbal is in exquisite condition, the original red ink stamp is clearly visible.
