📍I personally consider it one of the best ways of self expression in sound design, as you can manipulate a sample to sound exactly the way you like, then use it as your oscillator after converting it to a wavetable. In my opinion, there’s no better way to create a personal sonic identity than this.
🔺 To get the best results in Vital when converting a sample to a wavetable, follow these steps:
1. Make sure that the sample doesn’t exceed 4 seconds.
2. Choose the wavetable option when importing the sample.
3. Enter the key and octave at which the sample was created in Vital’s wavetable editor under “window size,” using this format: “F#1” if the sample is in the key of F# and was sampled in the first octave.
✅ Once you’ve done this, you can save the wavetable into your wavetable folder and use it in your patches.
