Half a century after the last person walked on the moon, original imagery from the Apollo programme has been digitally overhauled by Andy Saunders for his new book, Apollo Remastered, showing NASA's lunar missions in a new light.

By enhancing original material to reveal new details, the book presents 400 images that reveal NASA’s forays in the 1960s and 70s, in unprecedented detail. Images include a new digitally-enhanced image of Apollo 11 astronaut Neil Armstrong standing on the moon. "It was almost like I'd gone back to 1969 and I was standing in the lunar module, looking out that window watching one of the most important moments in history unfold before my eyes", says Saunders.
