About Cherry
---------------------------------
Cherry is a cover song; the original is by Chromatics. I've been a fan of this band for years and Johnny Jewel's work since Glass Candy.
I've always thought it was cool when guys covered songs sung by women. When I heard Marilyn Manson's Sweet Dreams remake and even a rare Justify My Love cover, I thought it was such a cool thing to do.
When I was tracking the parts, I really liked how it came together with our bass and sounds. I had to take some creative freedom where the original is heavy on the synths. Hope you enjoy the cover!

Cherry Lyrics
----------------------
Cherry
Tells me some things I don't want to know
And I can't see
A light at the end for us anymore
But I can't keep crying
All of the time
No, I can't keep crying
All of the time
Cherry
Can be very sweet when she needs a friend
But it's only
A mask that she wears so she can pretend
And I can't keep running
All of the time
No, I can't keep running
All of the time
Cherry
I hate that it's true but you make me blue
I kept waiting
For you to find what I see in you
And I can't keep quiet
All of the time
No, I can't keep quiet
All of the time

About The Dead Electrics
-----------------------------------------
The Dead Electrics features otherworldly synths and a beautifully dreadful buzz of electricity. The Southwest Texas-based band finds its influence in late 60’s classic rock, with a taste of 80’s post-punk and early 90’s alternative.
