Brilliant take on The Ronettes Be my baby, released on Philips in Sweden 1965. I don’t know much about Ann-Cathrine, but she’s from Stockholm, possibly Blidö, and she released only a handful of 45s. This 45 is a bit of a mystery, I have no clue who the backing band are, but they do a fantastic job on this track and so does Ann-Cathrine. Also, credited for the Swedish lyrics are ”Tom Jones”, which adds to the mystery. I found this and a bunch of other 45s I got from my mom many years ago, most of them shite, but this took me by surprise. I had totally forgotten about it.
