Technically it is not parquet but laminating didn't work so well with the video title. The kitchen and sitting room floors are done. It took days, it shouldn't have taken days. Like every job on this project that is undertaken for the first time it takes way longer than it should and I know that the next time I do it the work will be done quicker. This isn't the case with this flooring. It is evil. Everything looks perfect, the two previous boards are lined up perfect and for some unknown reason this next board won't go in flush. There's a gap in the middle or at one end and when you fix one end the other end pops out. There were countless times I just had to stop what I was doing and have a little rethink. I'm sure there is a knack to it but I don't want to know what that is. It will be real wood floors the next time, even if I have to make the boards myself to save a bit of money. Anyway rant over. This is my third time I think using this song in a video. It is called The Parting Glass and the singer of this version is not known to me.
