Hi friends,

Welcome back. So what I have here is the Yamaha QY10 which many consider to be the very first groovebox. Now certainly there were pattern based samplers, sequencers and drum machines before this device but those were made for high end studio use and certainly were not battery powered. So when the concept of a portable workstation came out in 1990, it was quite novel and ahead of its time.

In this video, I give you some basic knowledge about this device while playing a Trap beat I made on it. If this is something you would like to know more about (tutorials, etc.) let me know in the comments.
