Hebrews 6:4-6 and 10:26 warn about those who have been exposed to the truth of the gospel, witnessed the power of the Holy Spirit, and yet willfully reject Christ after fully understanding Him. These passages do not teach that true believers can lose their salvation but rather describe those who were never truly saved—individuals who experienced God’s work externally but never had a genuine, saving faith (1 John 2:19). The warning is for those who intellectually acknowledge Christ yet deliberately turn away, rejecting Him so decisively that repentance becomes impossible because their hearts are hardened. True believers, however, are eternally secure in Christ (John 10:28-29) and those who fall away prove that they were never truly born again.
