The band finally settled on the name "The Beatles", after Pete Best joined in August 1960. Four other drummers performed or recorded as "The Beatles", Johnny Hutchinson, Ringo Starr, Andy White and Jimmy Nicol. (Not counting the times that Paul McCartney occupied the drum stool!)
