So what if the USSR had surrendered to Germany.
Firstly a surrender would have been a disaster for the Russians as Germany would have taken most, if not all of their land. This would mean the USSR would have had to relocate the rest of their population.
Secondly with peace in the East and millions of troops in the West, the Allies would have had only two options.
they would either have to negotiate with Germany giving them most of its occupied land. or they would have to nuke Germany which would result in millions of casualties
