Recently got my hands on a Boss DR-220E drum machine from the mid-to-late 80's. 'Tis a fun little thing with Simmons SDS-style sounds that just SCREAM 80's electronic drums in a way that makes me harder than I'd like to admit. Also, while they unfortunately lack MIDI ports, they CAN be synced with Korg Volcas via the trigger-out jack! Although that kinda means you can't use the Cowbell and Slap/Clap sounds but... ahh well.

So yeah, have some very basic techno-ish nonsense with my DR-220E and my Volca FM.

For the neeerrrdds out there: The Boss DR-220E is the master and is sending trigger pulses to the Volca FM with a 3.5mm cable running from the Trigger-Out Jack on the DR-220E to the Sync-IN jack on the Volca FM. The Volca FM is being run through a Behringer FX600 Digital Multi-FX pedal which is set to the chorus effect (yes the Volca FM does have it's own chorus effect built in but it's non-adjustable and is kinda weak compared to an external pedal like the FX600). The DR-220E also has some EQ'ing done in the mixer, and the whole recording has been limited slightly in Audacity.
