On 4 September 2014, singer-songwriter and producer Charli XCX told ITN's Jasmine Dotiwala what happened when, aged 14, she took her parents to a rave in Hackney Wick. Having been spotted online by a music promoter and asked to play at an underground rave, Charlotte Emma Aitchison asked her parents if she could go and, to calm their nerves, invited them along. The result was a confusing exchange between a drug dealer and her dad involving MDMA, MDF flooring, and a car.
