“There is a famous hymn written by William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army, called ‘Send the Fire.’ I’ve always loved the desperation of the lyrics and the urgent cry for God to pour out his Spirit on His Church. All over the world we are seeing God move in remarkable ways. In the UK we are seeing people, particularly the young, turning to Christ in significant numbers. It has been termed as the ‘quiet revival.’ God is on the move. And so this new song, ‘Send the Fire’, written with Mia Fieldes and Rob Ellmore, has sought to take the inspiration of William Booth’s hymn, finding a new way to passionately pray for a new ‘move of heaven’ that will shake the earth. These are incredibly exciting times to be alive and my prayer is that this song of intercession releases the fire of heaven in churches all over the world.” Tim Hughes
