I remember the days when all I could hear in radios and school parties was those old Mauro Picotto bangers - Proximus, Lizard, Komodo, you name it. I don't remember this mix though, which is weird because I think it's one of the best Picotto tracks and it's easily my favourite version of Lizard. It's such an upbeat, smooth flowing tune that manages to stretch out that well known central melody throughout its length without it ever feeling boring or too much - it's fun and exciting all the way through.

In the end, this remix also has a much better melodiousness than the other well-known versions. Yeah I get it, the Claxixx Mix is... well, a classic, but if it wasn't for that expertly reimagined main melody, I think it would have quickly faded into obscurity. I feel like that one gives me too little emotional stimulation for too much investment - as opposed to this one, which is just perfect.
