Not to be confused with the Rahway State Prison inmate vocal group, The Escorts, this group of Escorts were a blue-eyed soul harmony group based in Richmond, Virginia who recorded several singles and an album in the mid-1960's. Written by group members, Ricky Goldman and Tom Hill, I Love You But You Don't Know Me, was released as the B-side to the groups 1967 single on the Soulo Records label titled, S.O.S.(Heart In Distress). The 45 got leased to the Date label in 1968 for wider distribution but national recognition never came for the group.
