Repurposing Vineyard Posts for an Apple Orchard
In the video, farmers are moving concrete posts to new locations. This field was once a vineyard. Grapevines require a tight grid of posts to support extensive wire trellising for the climbing vines. Now converted to an apple orchard, the trees need far less structural support. The posts are being spaced wider apart to match the simpler support needs of the apple trees. By reusing the original posts, the farmers save costs and adapt efficiently to the new crop. This demonstrates practical on-farm resource management.
