Some fresh melodic death metal from Gothenburg incoming! This is my very first Dark Tranquillity guitar cover ever which isn't played on a live stream. 🙃 "Standstill" is such a beautiful track in each way. My favorite off their latest album "MOMENT". The pre-chorus always gives me the chills - so simple but effective 😃 The song has quite some details which I didn't get right 100%, especially in the solo, but I wanted it to be a very organic and authentic recording, so I recorded the left/right track and the solo in one takes each. The original solo take will be released as a reel soon!
DT also are currently finishing their new album, are you as excited as I am? Really glad to catch them live at Wacken this year! 🤘🏻

The guitars are pre-recorded through a Neural DSP Quad Cortex to get the most cinematic video outcome possible - still trying, but getting there! Mostly learnt by ear as the guitar tab on songsterr wasn't completely accurate.

Thank you so much to my friend Birdynary for always finding the time to do these outdoor videos with me when we meet up and chill together. You rule 🙏🏻
