We made several attempts to write the description for this video, multiple unsuccessful efforts to summarize the music and musicians of Cuba. The words are simply not flowing which in itself is a perfect metaphor. The rhythms and musical textures of Cuba are much easier to feel and experience than they are to describe and analyze. So in that spirit, we encourage you to immediately press 'play' on his video and start your journey. If you wish to learn more about classic Cuban and Afro Cuban music as well as the artists that created it, we recommend you read or listen to the words of the musicians themselves. Though many books, movies and TV specials have been made on the subject, the most quintessential of these is the 1999 film 'Buena Vista Social Club'. Many of the songs featured in this movie have also been included in this video alongside original tracks from the 50s, 60s & 70s.
