In a world on the brink of total annihilation, a massive asteroid hurtles toward Earth, threatening to wipe out all life as we know it. With time running out, Humans launch a desperate mission to prevent this extinction-level event. A team of unlikely heroes—an eccentric group of deep-core oil drillers led by Harry Stamper—are recruited to go into space and destroy the asteroid from within.
