I've been having issues with using Android Auto and Google Maps in my Nissan Navara and not getting any voice guidance coming through the car's speakers. I covered this in this video
However, I now have the solution. It was due to a setting within Google Maps on my phone. Under Settings, Navigation, Play voice over Bluetooth needs to be enabled. This doesn't explain why sometimes it would work and other times (around 80% of the time) it wouldn't. However, making sure that 'Play voice over Bluetooth' is enabled makes it work.
The vehicle is a 2021 Nissan Navara N-Guard automatic (NP300 D23) and my phone is a Google Pixel 7a running Android v16.
