The U.S. Supreme Court has paved the way for the Trump administration to resume deportations of alleged Venezuelan gang members under a law that has rarely been invoked in modern times. The ruling allows the administration to apply the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, typically reserved for wartime, as part of its stringent immigration policy.

On Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called the decision a "major victory" for the administration, emphasizing its commitment to national security.

"Our message to the monster Tren Diagua and MS-13 terrorists still hiding illegally inside our country is clear: Deport yourself now or you will be locked up and sent back to your home country," she stated during a press briefing.
