In 2016, the Open Beta for the original Overwatch game gave all access for everyone to play on May 5 and ended on May 9. It's been 8 years since the release of the Beta, so I decided to upload for the 8th Anniversary of the Open Beta on the date of when it ended. The Beta was almost if not exactly the same as the full release of the game. Few differences are the kill feed being enabled by default for the paid game along with Loot Box microtransactions. The Alpha / Closed Beta had a major difference like Bastion's Sentry mode having a shield, which would be removed due to feedback. Although I never played that Beta, I've seen streams of it.

This includes my first ever PvP match against real players in the Mystery Heroes mode after playing multiple vs. AI matches as I needed to get used to how this game plays like. You can tell by my Level being 5 instead of 1. The second match has a higher level which takes place after many matches of playing in the Beta. I also show a few things like a Loot Box and a Highlight. More so to show them for players who haven't experienced it coming from Overwatch 2.

This was recorded on PS4 using the share button from the PlayStation 4. This means that it's 720p gameplay footage. However, I tried to upscale it to 4K so you can try to see it in better quality from the higher resolutions. In the Open Beta, the game is actually 60 FPS, but unfortunately it could only be captured in 30 FPS from the share button function. I tried to convert it, but there was issues like the crosshair moving around.
