How to set monitor display output on Avalonix Mini NVR

If you're interested in displaying two video outputs simultaneously from your 4 or 8 channel Avalonix NVR, then this video is for you. In this tutorial we use the NVR1084K Avalonix Premium NVR with both HDMI and VGA cables connected at the same time to our 1080P computer monitor. We show how to access the display output menu on the NVR using a mouse connected to the recorder, and choose different resolutions ranging from 720P to 1080P.
Regardless of which resolution we choose, the NVR seamlessly works with our monitor without having to change any settings.
Changing the resolution on the NVR allows us to adjust the display output depending on what our monitor can support. Our monitor happens to be able to support 720P, 1280x1024, and 1080P on both the HDMI and VGA input.
If you're not getting no output on either HDMI or VGA, or both, make sure you have a good cable, and the monitor supports the resolution you have selected. It is important to note that 4K (3840x2160) will only output video over HDMI and no video on the VGA connection, as VGA connections do not support resolutions higher than 1080P.
