Mi Note & Mi Note Pro: Specifications, Price in India

Xiaomi unveiled Mi Note and Mi Note Pro Xiaomi’s latest flagships are here. At the company’s Beijing event today, CEO Lei Jun revealed his latest weapons against Samsung and Apple: the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro. Mi Note features a 5.7-inch 2.5D curved glass display that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with 1400:1 contrast ratio. Xiaomi has used dynamic contrast pixel adjustment technology that automatically improves contrast of darker areas to make the picture appear better. The phone weighs 162 grams and is just 6.95mm thick. It houses a Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization, a 4MP front camera with large 2-micron pixels like we see in HTC's UltraPixels and it performs really great in low-light selfie situations., a 3000-mAh battery, and its a dual-SIM smartphone. Speaking of design, the Mi Note sports beautiful glass on both the front and the back. The protective screen glass is 2.5D, meaning that its edges are slightly curved, just like on the Note 4 or iPhone 6 Plus. The glass on the back is positively curved and We’ve seen glass-backed devices before, but this is the first design with a curved glass back – it sure looks interesting, but durability may take a hit. Alongside the Mi Note, Xiaomi also announced the Mi Note Pro that will arrive in the end of March. Mi Note Pro will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and will have a 5.7-inch display with improved 2k pixel resolution. The Mi Note is priced at US$ 371 which is approximately 23,000 in India for 16GB variant and $451 which is approximately 28,000 in India for the 32GB variant. In comparison, the Note pro is priced at US$ 533 approximately, which is around Rs 33,000. The Mi Note will be available next week in Beijing while the Note Pro will arrive end of March. India availability for the devices is unclear at the moment. Considering Xiaomi would prefer to first launch the Mi 4 in India in the coming months and that Mi Note would have great demands, we expect it to arrive in India only in second half of the year.
