"Riders on the Storm" is a song by The Doors, the last track on their sixth studio album L.A. Woman (1971).
Genre: Blues rock, jazz rock, psychedelic rock. The song features sound effects of thunder and rain.
History: Recorded between December 1970 and January 1971. It was the last song recorded by the classic Doors lineup and featured Jim Morrison on vocals.
Lyrics and inspiration: Guitarist Robbie Krieger has stated that the song was inspired by Johnny Cash's "(Ghost) Riders in the Sky". The lyrics contain a mysterious image of a killer on the road, possibly related to Morrison's directorial work "HWY".

Charts: Reached number 14 on the Billboard charts, and was successful in France, Canada, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
