In the over the air (OTA) software update 2025.2, Tesla added third party charger preconditioning.
This now means battery heating (i.e. pre-conditioning) is triggered when you navigate to a rapid charger. Previously this was only done when navigating to a Tesla Supercharger, but now it is done when you navigate to other network's chargers. So this means faster charging and you can disconnect and get on your way sooner.
This video was filmed in February 2025.
