Good Charlotte is an American punk rock band formed in Waldorf, Maryland in 1996. The band appeared right after Joel and Benji Madden graduated from high school. The name 'Good Charlotte' was taken from the children's book Good Charlotte: The Girls Of Good Day Orphanage, written by Carol Beach York.
