Today I stopped at the Cherwell Valley Services on the M40 in Oxfordshire, where one of the Ecotricity chargers on the Electric Highway network has been upgraded with a new ABB unit. This is one of the first upgrades following the partnership with Gridserve. I wanted to test if this new charger could simultaneously charge two vehicles. As you'll see in the comments below, they currently only simultaneously charge a vehicle on DC and one on AC - not DC and DC. But looking on Twitter, the announcement by from Gridserve does say these units will do 2 x DC charging. So something to look forward to in the future.
Update: In the comments below, you'll see that 2 x DC charging is coming to these ABB units, but this one was installed as a quick replacement and future units will have 2 x DC.
