This is a Motormouth couple car comparison of the Kia Sportage Hybrid and the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid compact SUVs. The Sportage also has a larger available touchscreen and digital driver display, a temporary spare tire, the Tucson a tire repair kit. In the US, there is a Sportage FWD option on the base trim, the Tucson hybrid standard AWD. The Sportage Hybrid will cost you less and gets a little better fuel economy as well. The Kia Sportage hybrid gets 6.1L/100 km, 38 MPG city and 6.3L/100 km, 38 MPG highway The FWD model offers best in class fuel economy at 43 MPG combined. The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid gets 6.3L/100 km, 37 MPG city and 6.6L100 km, 36 MPG highway. The Kia Sportage Hybrid FWD starts at $27,290 USD, AWD $29,090 USD, EX $35,995 CAD/$30,990 USD and the top trim $42,695 CAD/$36,190 USD. The Hyundai Tucson hybrid starts at $41,650 CAD/$29,750 USD (Blue), SEL Convenience $32,350 USD and the top trim $44,350 CAD/$38,050 USD.
