Our journey began in Tashkent, where we hopped on the Afrosiyob high-speed train to Samarkand. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a heartwarming surprise: the owner of our accommodations baked a special birthday cake for Angelique! 🎂

The next day, we explored the top attractions in Samarkand, including:
- Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum: The majestic tomb of Tamerlane.
- Registan Square: The awe-inspiring heart of Samarkand.
- Siab Bazaar: A bustling market filled with local flavors and souvenirs.
- Bibi-Khanym Mosque: Once one of the largest mosques in the world.
- Hazrat Khizr Mosque: A hilltop gem with panoramic views.
- Shah-i-Zinda: A mesmerizing necropolis adorned with dazzling blue tiles.
