Lawyers from the Emergencies Act inquiry are arguing over what six weeks of gruelling testimony means, a key step in examining the government's invocation of the Emergencies Act last winter. David Akin explains.

There may be hope in a simmering African conflict that has forced tens of thousands of people from the Democratic Republic of the Congo to flee their homes.
