The "Mahasamayama" come to the stage to invite the folk drama tradition emerged through chanting performances from the ancestry to the contemporary period.
The drama utilizes ancient chanting drama methods, folk drama styles, the costumes, the stage, and performance arts in a modern way.
The Mahasamayama also attempts to use the Masks also through a visionary innovation.
The main characters in this drama are Ishwara, Umayangana, Vishnu, Bashmasura, Mahasona, the Sona Queen and Gotaimbara.
Highly experienced and veteran dramatists of Sri Lanka joined together to present the Mahasamayama.
The acting performance of the Mahasamayama is done by Channa Wijewardene, Ravibandu Vidyapathi and Darshana Piyaratne.
Music is composed by Samantha Perera.
