In this video, I demonstrate the process of making an oak bench with decorative inlays.

I had a dried oak board, full of knots and cracks, which I kept moving around because I couldn’t decide what to do with it. Over time, I envisioned that it could become a beautiful bench. I decided to leave the bark but had to process it thoroughly to eliminate any potential pests living within. For the woven lattice on the lower shelf, I used offcuts of walnut strips, and for the decorative inlays, I used dried branches from fruit trees in my garden.

I haven’t posted videos for a long time because the situation in Ukraine hasn’t allowed for it. The russian aggressor, supported by other dictators, has intensified its offensive.

Unfortunately, our partners and allies still do not fully grasp the real threat posed by russia. We need bold decisions from our allies because, for almost three years now, Ukraine has been standing up to an exceptionally strong and insidious enemy.

This Christmas, we can celebrate only thanks to those who are fighting against russian evil and those who have already paid the ultimate price.
