Other things to consider ⬇️

1. You should avoid driving over a septic tank or leach field with anything heavy like a car/dump truck.

2. Electric service providers will have requirements for where you can place your meter. Most will require the meter to be located on the front or the side closest to the road.

3. There are requirements for the spacing between wells and septic systems. For us the requirement is 100 feet.

4. Local authorities may require you to submit a site plan ahead of time specifying the location of each utility. We drew ours in CAD but you might be able to get away with a hand sketch!

5. If you have storm management requirements you might have to dig a large seepage pit for rainwater.

ABOUT US: We are Alex and Elaina, a couple in our 20s who are currently living on the 3-acre farm in southern Pennsylvania where Alex grew up.
