In this video I look at the electric vehicle chargers at Sainsbury's Calcot just off the M4 J12 at Reading, Berkshire. The address is Sainsbury's, Bath Road, Calcot, Reading, RG31 7SA.
There are 12 DC rapid charging bays consisting of 7 x 150kW CCS2, 4 x 300kW CCS2 and 1 x 50kW Chademo.
This would be a good charging stop if travelling on the M4. You can get on and off at J12 in both directions and the chargers are only 0.4 mile from the motorway junction. At this site is a Sainsbury's with toilets, a McDonalds, Starbucks, B&M, Boots, Sports Direct and a Sainbury's petrol station. It would be a cheaper place to eat than the Moto Services just 2 miles down the M4.
Just around the corner is an IKEA with Gridserve rapid chargers in the multistory car park too.
