The idea that came to me while listening to this beautiful album by the Ensemble Für Frühe Musik Augsburg is to find myself in the company of some German pilgrims, as they set off on an adventure towards the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, meeting different peoples, music, art and traditions.
Time passes quickly and the songs, so varied, never get boring, taking us to the grandiose destination of our long journey almost without realizing it and relieving the fatigue.
Just as happens today, beautiful music, perhaps sung and played in company, accompanies us during our travels and pilgrimages: let's not make the mistake of taking it for granted just because now we can always have it at hand, but let's live it intensely as they have done by those who came before us.
