Note: Some Mac models can be updated to the new OS Sonoma by using Option + Cmd + R. Alternatively, or after bypassing with some certain tricks, you can update to Sonoma but that will work only in case if your Mac model allows you to complete the download and installation of Sonoma OS. If you encounter an error at the final stage, it means you cannot update to Sonoma.
However, some Mac models are not compatible with Sonoma. These models can only install their default OS, such as Catalina, Mojave, or High Sierra, depending on the model that shows in recovery using Cmd + R after the bypass.
