Η υπέροχη και μελαγχολική ιστορία του τραγουδιού "Ζητάτε να σας πω"

Το τραγούδι γράφτηκε στην δεκαετία του 1930 από έναν αξιόλογο και ιδιαίτερα ταλαντούχο Έλληνα μουσικό, με το όνομα Κλέων Τριανταφύλλου (γνωστός ως Αττίκ). Ταλαντούχος, τόσο συνθετικά όσο και στιχουργικά, ευαίσθητος, γεμάτος πάθος, ο Αττίκ βάζει τη σφραγίδα του στο ελληνικό ρομαντικό τραγούδι. Ο έρωτάς του για τις γυναίκες του είναι κινητήριος δύναμη. Μεγάλη απόδειξη η εξομολόγηση του Αλέκου Σακελάριου, για την ιστορία του τραγουδιού "Ζητάτε να σας πω".

Για τη Μαρίκα Φιλιππίδου τη δεύτερη σύζυγό του, ο Αττίκ γράφει το βαλσάκι "Είδα Μάτια". Το τραγούδι αυτό εκφράζει όχι μόνο τον καλλιτέχνη αλλά και όλες τις ευαίσθητες ψυχές και αποθεώνεται από το κοινό του. Αυτό λοιπόν το κομμάτι γίνεται η αφορμή να γραφτεί ένα άλλο, ακόμη πιο έντονο συναισθηματικά τραγούδι.

Η ιστορία έχει ως εξής: Ο Αττίκ έχει χωρίσει με τη Μαρίκα Φιλιππίδου, την οποία όμως αγαπάει ακόμη βαθια. Ένα βράδυ, η Μαρίκα με τον δεύτερο σύζυγό της, επισκέπτεται τη “Μάντρα” και κάθονται στις πρώτες θέσεις. Οι υπόλοιποι θεατές την αναγνωρίζουν και αρχίζουν τα πειράγματα προς τον Αττίκ. Φτάνουν μάλιστα στο σημείο να φωνάζουν ρυθμικά το "Είδα μάτια", το τραγούδι που της είχε γράψει ο μεγάλος καλλιτέχνης. Με βουρκωμένα μάτια κι έναν κόμπο στο στομάχι, ο Αττίκ σηκώνεται από το πιάνο του και φεύγει προς τα καμαρίνια. Επικρατεί αμηχανία στο κοινό που δεν ξέρει τι να περιμένει. Ωστόσο παραμένουν όλοι στη θέση τους και λέγεται οτι μετά από μόλις δέκα λεπτά αποζημιώνονται με τον πιο απίθανο τρόπο. Ο Αττίκ επιστρέφει στη σκηνή έχοντας συνθέσει μουσικά και στιχουργικά ένα εκπληκτικό τραγούδι. Ο τίτλος του; "Ζητάτε να σας πω".



The wonderful and melancholic story of the song "You're asking me to tell you"

The song was written in the 1930s, by a remarkable and very talented Greek musician, named Kleon Triantafyllou (known as Attic). Talented, both synthetically and lyrically, sensitive, full of passion, Attik puts his stamp on Greek romantic song. His love for his wives is a driving force. Great proof, is the confession of Alekos Sakelariou, for the story of the song "You're asking me to tell you".

For Marika Filippidou his second wife, Attik writes the waltz "I saw eyes". This song expresses not only the artist but also all the sensitive souls and is adored by his audience. So this piece becomes the reason for Attik to write another, even more emotional love song.

The story is as follows: Attik has divorced Marika Filippidou, but he still loves her deeply. One night, Marika and her second husband visit “Mantra” and sit in the front seats. The rest of the spectators recognize her and start teasing Attic. They even get to the point of rhythmically shouting "I saw eyes", the song that the great artist had written for her. With sullen eyes and a knot in his stomach, Attik gets up from his piano and leaves for the dressing rooms. There is embarrassment in the public that does not know what to expect. However, they all remain in their sit and it is said that after only 10 minutes they are compensated in the most improbable way. Attik returns to the stage having composed an amazing song musically and lyrically. Its title? "You're asking me to tell you."
