As homeowners, we are usually looking for the shortest path to get our desired result. Setting 4x4 and 6x6 posts in concrete is easiest if we can just dry pour in the Quikrete mix and then add water on top. But......does this actually work, and how does the water actually pull all the way down into the hole? I will test a few different methods and see if the quickest and easiest path will work or if you will need to pull out your wheelbarrow and shovel to do your wet mix before dumping in the hole.
