AMD's most recent mistake provided an interesting experiment, and it showed that Intel works better with AMD's low-end Radeon GPUs. The R5 5500 PCIe Gen3 limitations hurt it vs. Intel Gen4.

In this video, we're combining the AMD R5 5500 (with PCIe Gen3) and the AMD RX 6500 XT to benchmark them vs. the Intel i3-12100F (PCIe Gen4). Impressively, AMD manages to make its R5 5500 worse than it was even in our standardized review process by launching two low-end products that have absolutely zero product synergy. If you get the R5 5500, definitely do not get it with a 6500 XT (and vice versa). They do not work well together, and the sacrifice is immense.
