Hey so I’ve decided to make 1 minute videos about all the countries.
Today’s episode is about Albania which is located in Southeastern Europe, part of the Balkan Peninsula.
Around 2.8 million people live in Albania and the capital of the country is Tirana.
The country’s GDP is around 15 billion dollars and it’s ranked around 125th in the world for GDP and ranked 97th for GDP per capita.
The export a lot of Shoes, especially leather shoes and crude petroleum and they import a lot of refined petroleum and cars. Their trading partners are mostly Italy, Greece, Spain, and of course China.
Their language is Albanian which is actually a pretty unique language.
In terms of religion 60% are Muslims and around 20% are christians.
Their currency is the Lek which is tied to Euros.
They were ruled by a communist regime for a long time until 1991 which shut them out of the world and made them mostly self-reliant, but currently they have a free market with a president and a prime minister.
They have around 175,00 of these bunkers in the country which was built as a form of shelter in case of a nuclear war which some would say was a waste of money.
