Here is another hidden gem crafted once again by some true pioneers of medieval music: Ensemble Gaston Soublette.
Founded by Luis Gastón Soublette Asmussen, a Chilean philosopher, poet, writer, composer, musicologist and teacher.
Gaston Soublette was born in 1927. This album is from 1967 and the repertoire presented, as it is easy to guess from the title, concerns the music of the Trouvères, Troubadours, Minnesänger and Meistersinger presenting some of the most beautiful melodies that have come down to us, extremely famous today for those who love medieval music, but probably never heard before in the years in which this album was released.
A note about the video: I have selected some miniatures from the wonderful Luttrell Psalter, an English manuscript commissioned in the 13th/14th century by Sir Geoffrey Luttrell.
